Kids change A LOT of things (while you don’t get to sleep in on weekends anymore, you develop the ability to recite numerous Disney movies line-for-line) but just because you are a parent doesn’t mean that you have to skip out on Chicago Restaurant Week. Between January 24th and February 9th, over 430 restaurants showcase their special and delicious dishes through special prix fix menus and there are TONS of family-friendly restaurants among them! Here’s Where Kids Should Eat for Chicago Restaurant Week:

What makes these restaurants family-friendly?
My family and I have visited each and every restaurant on this list and can tell you for certain that kids are not only welcomed but celebrated at these delicious establishments. When selecting restaurants for this list, I took into account not just the cuisine (and no—I wasn’t looking for just chicken strips and French fries even though I know most kids love it) but also the restaurant environment (loud, relaxed, ample amounts of high chairs) to make sure that each spot in this list strives to make families comfortable when dining.

What is Chicago Restaurant Week?
Mostly located in the city (and some in the near suburbs), Chicago restaurants showcase their classic and new dishes on multiple course, prix fix menus for either brunch, lunch, dinner ($36 or $48 options) for a limited time only. While the price does not include beverages, tax, or gratuity, it is a great way to try out a new restaurant or an old favorite on a budget. Chicago Restaurant Week will undoubtedly show you and your family that Chicago cuisine is MORE than deep dish and hot dogs.
