The holidays are coming, the holidays are coming!!!  Are you prepared?  Me neither. And to be perfectly honest I am not looking forward to the onslaught of holiday pressure and stress to make Thanksgiving, Hannukah, and Christmas picture perfect for my family so this year I am taking a shortcut that will not only save me time and energy, but also make my taste buds oh so happy.  What is my sneaky secret?  I am ordering delicious desserts from some of the best bakeries in the area.  Read on to learn about where to find the absolute BEST pies in Chicagoland.

Spilt Milk, Oak Park

Bang Bang Pie and Biscuits, Chicago

I am not really sure what their secret ingredient that makes everything that comes out of their ovens so amazingly delicious, but to be honest I don’t care.  All I want to do is devour everything they make, from savory to sweet options…even their coffee.

Both of the sunny locations of Hoosier Mama Pie Co. and truly pie heaven. Everything is made in house from the best local ingredients possible—obvious from just one bite. The Evanston location also serves pie flights after 6 p.m. so you can try out multiple flavors before ordering your holiday pie.     The ice cream just makes it, right? I always like to have a strong cup of coffee along with my pie…don’t want to fall asleep being so overstuffed!

    Those pies look spectacular! I bet I could sit there all day and eat those pies. I would stuff my face until I passed into a food coma and just sleep right there at the table. They probably wouldn’t like that much would they? I think I have a problem with pies.
