Owner Nicole Northway and her team of artists can create a one of a kind birthday party for kids at One Strange Bird in a way that is totally and utterly effortless for you—all you have to do is show up and smile for the camera. For starters, once you walk through the doors of One Strange Bird, you are welcomed by beautiful things. Not the stuffy “look but don’t touch” things but instead art and other trinkets and materials that simply inspire creativity. Now if that doesn’t create a fun and relaxing party atmosphere, I don’t know what does.

Each and every birthday party at One Strange Bird has that special artist’s touch, no matter which party package you choose, and you can also customize the party with any theme you desire for a surcharge. For the younger set, toddlers can explore art at a developmentally appropriate level through either story art, tape painting, or collage. Older party goers can choose a thematic painting activity or decide between collage or mask activities during their drop off party. And don’t feel like only the kiddos get to have all of the art themed fun….there are adult art parties as well!

The four available packages vary, but all have the foundation of a 1.5 hour party for up to 15 children (max space size of 24 kids). Each and every class is led by a professional artist, and of course allows time for cake and gifts. Add on services include face painting, art themed party supplies, goody bags, invitations, refreshments, and more. Since I always tend to struggle with getting all of the details to be cohesive without me running around town to 15 different stores, the wide range of services offered by One Strange Bird really does remove any party planning stress.

Since the back “nest” and front studio spaces are those that invite everyone to be creative, regardless of age or ability, it is impossible for your one of a kind party to be anything other than fantastic. Simply hang the finished artwork from the party up in your home so that you have a constant reminder of a great birthday and your child’s creativity.

One Strange Bird sounds like one great place for a child’s birthday party! I love that it’s a place where the party is couple with engaging activities that also stimulate little minds. I’d much rather do that than have a party at a place with bad pizza and a germy ball pit.

This sounds like an amazing place to have a party. It is always nice when you don’t have to worry about having everyone in your house. I like that they offer add on services so you don’t have to worry about dealing with multiple contacts. I also love that it is based around art because every kid loves to get creative.

What a unique way to celebrate a little ones birthday! I love this! I go to painting parties all the time with the girls. Next time I’m going to suggest bring the kids. They would definitely have a blast using their imagination.

Organizing any party is exhausting because there are so many details to track and take care of. The add-ons all sounds great but the focus should be on the food and activities/entertainment when there are mostly kids who will attend to the party. It’s great to avail of professional service to reduce stress.

This looks like such a great place to have birthday parties! Birthday Parties can be so exhausting to plan and then you also have to deal with cleaning everything up. I love parties that allow kids to be creative — and they also get to take their project home, which is such a great idea!
