My Favorite Halloween Hack

Raise your hand if you have had your child change his or her mind about a Halloween costume a few days before the big day? You cursed yourself for committing to a costume too early, didn’t you? And of course, you were embarrassed by how much you spent on said costume…am I right? Well, I’m here to share with you my absolute FAVORITE Halloween hack: Little Adventures. Yes, that’s right, my favorite Halloween hack isn’t how to make the perfect spiked cider or smuggle your kids’ candy when they aren’t looking. For me, it’s all about not spending too much and investing in a great costume that my kids will want to wear and play with all throughout the year, not just on Halloween.

Little Adventures is a website that sells unique and well made dress up clothes. Whether you have a princess, a ninja, or a child who simply loves wearing capes (even at the grocery store), then you need to put Little Adventures on your radar.

One of the reasons why I love their offerings for Halloween is because in Chicago it is typically FRIGID and my kids will fight me to the death about not wanting to wear a coat that covers their costume. So the fact that my kids can wear their wings or cloaks OVER their clothes is a total game changer.

And if you want to be one of those adorable families with matching costumes, Little Adventures is the perfect hack for finding family ensemble costumes. I’m super excited to walk around my neighborhood and hide my mug of spiked apple cider in my Snow White cloak, if you get my drift.

If you are DIYing your costumes and need a few pieces to finish off your child’s Halloween costume, don’t forget to check out all of the accessories available from Little Adventures, from masks to wands, shields, light sabers, and so much more!

Lastly, since you aren’t buying overpriced junk from those pop-up Halloween stores, the dress up costumes will last through years of superhero battles, ballet recitals, and so much more.

Any costumes that allows the kids to be warm and the adults to carry spiked apple cider is alright by me. Capes are so much fun. My dog unfortunately doesn’t agree, but I’ll try again this year.

I understand about the frigid. I’m from Upstate NY where it has been known to turn a hayride into a sleigh ride. These costumes are adorable and great for play beyond Halloween! Have fun and enjoy your spiked cider!

It has been so cold the last few Halloween’s in the Chicago area. We totally plan how we can still be warm in costumes.

How adorable! I have a niece who loves to dress up. I will have to share this with my sister-in-law.
