Holiday Theatre in Chicagoland

While some of the quintessential Christmas in Chicago activities might involve tracking down the CTA Holiday Train, driving around to look at Christmas Lights, and huddling together for warmth over glogg at the Christkindle market, there’s something you shouldn’t overlook—HOLIDAY THEATRE! Because no matter your age or interest, there are so many amazing holiday shows taking the stage across Chicagoland this holiday season. So use this list of 2019 Holiday Theatre in Chicagoland to plan a fun outing as a lead-up to the big day or as a gift experience:

The Nutcracker

There are TONS of beautiful variations of the famous Nutcracker being performed across Chicagoland this holiday season. There are so many different variations to take in, and many specific performances feature young artists and are tailored to thrill the youngest audience members. The House Theatre of Chicago even has a modern, ballet-free twist on the classic Nutcracker! But if you ask me, there is nothing better than the jaw-droppingly beautiful Nutcracker performance by the Joffrey Ballet.
