Chicagoland Birthday Party Venues

Thanks to social media, parents now have a major challenge that rears its head every year…throwing a creative, unique, and “Pinterest Perfect” birthday party for their kiddo.  If you are able to avoid the pressure of making the day absolutely perfect with every small detail thought through and planned in advance, congratulations.  You are much, much stronger (and smarter) than me.  I will never forget blowing up hundreds of balloons when it was over 100 degrees outside for my oldest son’s first birthday party.  I almost passed out–twice.  And then I found out I was pregnant the next day.  Let’s just say I ate a TON of ice cream for the rest of that summer.

A perfect match

So in order to help out all of my fellow Chicagoland mamas, and dads too, because they are SOMETIMES helpful (hi, honey!), here is a list I made of fantastic Chicagoland birthday party resources to match to your unique child’s interests.  That way, instead of focusing on having little lifesavers tied to each and every set of utensils to hammer home the “Under the Sea” theme (again, guilty), you can instead focus on the joy of having a fun and creative party that suits your child’s interests and makes them so darn happy that you will happily share the photo of their burnt birthday cake on your Facebook page.  Heck, you might even make it your cover photo.  I know, crazy.  So before you look at the list, think about the things your child loves, and then look for the corresponding suggestions (city vs. suburbs).

What makes this list unique?

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you will see that I am a proud supporter of Mom and Pop shops.  I prefer to spend my money and give my business to local establishments in order to improve my community.  And since I devote my blog to finding fun in Chicagoland, it is pretty darn clear that I love my city.  So you can feel great about using these businesses, which have come highly recommended to me, and contributing to our amazing area, all while having a blast.  And since we are in the middle of a frigid Chicago winter, these venues are the BEST way to stay warm and have fun all at the same time.  They work in the summer as well, for you can’t always predict stormy weather….
