I haven’t been to a carnival in years. Like five years. So, it’s been a while. I’m not sure why. These do sound like fun. Though, we don’t live near Chicago. Maybe I should check out one near us this summer.

  2. Heather Wilson says

It would be quite an exhilarating time to go to these fun carnival events. I have never been for so long. Kids will surely love the fun rides but I would certainly have a blast just watching the fireworks display. Would love to see the night sky aglow!

  3. Gwendolyn Mulholland says

These look like amazing carnivals and so much fun for the whole family. I wish I was able to visit Chicago this summer because these would be a blast. I hope I can find some that are just as fun where we are at.

My favorite thing about summer is all the carnivals, concerts, festivals, outdoor movies, outdoor music in the parks, and outdoor plays! It is the best time to spend outside and there are so many great outdoor fun things to do! I love carnival food… I feel like that is my biggest draw to them! Deep fried ____ (fill in the blank). Recently I tried a deep fried twinkie! OMG!

  5. Bites for Foodies says

I absolutely love Chicago!! I’ve been there a few times and cannot wait to go back. To be honest, I was discouraged from going again this year due to all the crime. A friend of mine who lives actually mentioned that it wasn’t the best time to go ;-(

I’m pretty surprised by the comment from a Chicagoan telling you to stay away from Chicago. There are lots of wonderful things going on that you are missing.

  6. Amanda @ Adorkablii says

I can’t wait for the carnivals to start rolling in. I took my nephew and son to one last year and it was so much fun! He had such a great time and I took so many photos. I just can’t wait to do it again!! =) To see that smile of just pure happiness! I spoiled them rotten! =P

  7. Kristy @ Mommy Hates Cooking says

Festivals and Carnivals are one of my favorite things about summer. Even though it is always sweltering hot outside, it is so much fun spending time with the family outside creating memories. And fireworks, you can’t have enough fireworks!

    • Amanda says

The heat and humidity is the only annoying thing about carnival season in Chicago…that’s why I love going at night!

  8. Aly Mashrah says

I haven’t been to a carnival in so long. It’s been too long. We’re planning a trip to Chicago this summer, so I’ll have to keep these in mind. It would be so much fun!
